What is Paternity Leave in COL?
Employees in Colombia (COL) can use this leave when their partner gives birth or adopts a child. The request must include a copy of the baby’s birth certificate.

My employee is not yet a regular employee, are they eligible for this?
Yes. Both probationary ang regular employees are eligible for the paternity leave.
How much should I pay my employee who availed the paternity leave?
- Employee will receive their full regular salary for the two weeks of leave.
- The employer initially pays the full salary and then requests reimbursement from the Social Security system (EPS).
How would this look like in my invoice/billing?
The credit will be reflected on your invoice once the claim from the SSS is available, between 1-6 months.
