What is a Leave Without Pay in PH?

A Leave without pay in the Philippines (PH)can be used by either employees that are under the probationary period or regular employees with zero (0) leave credits. Yes, these employees can still take a leave BUT they will be unpaid for that day.

When Can They Use It?

  • They can use it for vacation leave, sick leave, or emergency leave
  • They can also use it for a HALF-DAY Leave Without Pay. This is a 4-hour leave which covers a half-day of work. This will consume 0.5 leave credits

How will this look like in my invoice?

Since it is an unpaid leave, a salary deduction on your employee would reflect on your invoice which you receive every month. The amount of the deduction will depend on the daily salary of the employee and how many days of leave without pay.

IMPORTANT REMINDER!

  • Employee leaves must have your approval in the FiltaHR for the leave to be considered
  • If an employee takes an unapproved leave in FiltaHR, it will be considered Absence Without Official Leave (AWOL)
